Saw a great one. How a developer got on the wrong side of HP in West Hollywood. Had to save 8 landmarked garden apartments and build 40 market rate lofts took 3 years finished in 2010. The market tanked no profit but preserved 8 significant apartment units. Seems like the right thing was done. But the planning staff could not anticipate community reaction to demolition. Understandable.
